Welcome to Tomarata Rugby Club

Tradition has played a major part of the clubs make-up, with club initiatives such as the long running ‘Married v Singles’ fixture, to the retention of a clean playing strip with no sponsors logos, to new ideas such as regular club trips to play the Great Barrier rugby side.

The club has been able to strongly bolster its finances over the last decade to enable the clubrooms to show a wide collection of team photographs and local rugby memorabilia during a period when many of Rodney’s country clubs have disappeared.

Much of this thanks to good support by the local farming community. Tomarata RFC have proven themselves to be survivors
